Academics at Thayer Learning Center

The main focus at Thayer Learning Center is behavior modification, however, students who work their way through the upper levels of the program find that academics at Thayer Learning Center are also on the list of priorities. Thayer Learning Center believes that education is a privilege. Each student is encouraged to not only finish their high school diploma, but to look forward to a higher education.

Summer Boot Camp

As soon as teenagers get out of school for the summer parents all over the country cringe. Unfortunately summer is not a paid vacation for most working parents. That means parents are stuck at work while their teenagers are left at home unsupervised browsing the internet, sleeping in, inviting friends over to the house and getting into trouble.

Thayer Teaches Teens Respect for Self and Country

At Thayer Learning Center, a military based, Christian boarding school, learning to be respectful ranks high on the curriculum. Throughout a teen’s stay at TLC, respecting staff, self, and others is one of top priorities every minute of everyday life. This week, a local veteran’s home near the school helped to teach some of Thayer Learning Center’s students a new kind of respect, a respect for their country.
