Christmas is Here

Christmas at Thayer Learning Center With our campus festively decorated with beautiful christmas lights, trees, and poinsettias Thayer Learning Center is ready for the christmas season. Knowing there is no replacement for home on the holidays, TLC staff do their very best to provide a holiday focused on change and gratitude. Holidays at TLC are far from getting coal in your stocking, students enjoy a fun filled day of activities, delicious homemade meals, and holiday fun. Students love getting this break in their routine, while still wishing they were at home, learn to be grateful and focus on the real meaning of Christmas.

Preparations for Christmas this year started Thanksgiving Day, as students each decorated their own ornament and stocking to decorate the Christmas tress throughout campus. Later on, some students were able to help decorate the school grounds with beautiful Christmas lights. Jr. Staff found their way to contribute this year by making some decorative snowmen on our front lawn. Campus is lit up again, ready for Christmas.

Though being home is always on our students minds, the Christmas spirit does not escape TLC. Christmas is about love, giving, and change. Away from all the presents and distractions, students are able to focus on the real meaning of Christmas and often give the best present of all…change.
